Title I Reading and Math Schoolwide Program
Title I is the largest K-12 educational program funded by the federal government. The goal of Wythe County Public School's Title I schoolwide program is to provide opportunities for all students to meet high standards of achievement in reading and math.
Title I funds are used in Wythe County Public Schools to support Title I schoolwide programs at the six elementary schools: Jackson Memorial, Max Meadows, Rural Retreat, Sheffey, Speedwell and Spiller.
Reading and math instruction is provided for children who are identified throughout the school year as needing additional academic support. Click here for a listing of Wythe County Title I Teachers.
Parent involvement and participation as partners in education is highly valued and strongly encouraged at all Title I schools. Click here for the Wythe County Public School Title I Parental Involvement Policy.
