To ensure the safety of student pedestrians, school transportation, and other motorists. Starting this spring, the Wythe County Sheriff’s Office and stationary speed enforcement cameras will step up speed limit enforcement in school zones and road work zones. Drivers caught on camera speeding through school zones will be issued civil penalties of $100.
