School Meals News Release from December 9, 2020
Wythe County Public Schools will be serving meals at no charge to children 18 and under. The U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) has approved waivers for local school divisions and other federal meal program sponsors to implement the Summer Food Service Program to provide meals to children in the community free of charge through May 27, 2021. The waivers support access to nutritious meals while minimizing exposure to COVID-19.

Instructional Learning Update

On January 25, 2021, the Wythe County School Board approved a motion to switch from 5 days a week of in-person instruction to 4 days a week of in-person instruction. Effective immediately, the weekly schedule will be as follows:

In-person Instruction - Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays (2pm dismissal)
Virtual Instruction - Wednesdays

This weekly schedule goes into effect immediately, beginning with the week of January 25, 2021.
